Graham Stanier is a qualified and highly experienced practicing psychotherapist known for his excellent therapeutic skills, compassion, and good humoured warmth. He is a Psychology Graduate with a Masters degree in psychotherapy and counselling, and has diplomas in hypno psychotherapy and humanistic counselling and supervision.

He has received training in psychology and other schools of psychotherapy and counselling, but his preferred way of working with clients is within a cognitive behavioural framework. His training in cognitive therapy includes studying at the prestigious Beck Institute for cognitive therapy and research in Pennsylvania U.S.A. under the direction of Dr Aaron Beck (founder of cognitive therapy) and Dr Judy Beck.

He does not exclusively practice Cognitive Behavioural Therapy with all clients as he recognises that other counselling and psychotherapy approaches are sometimes more appropriate for a certain conditions.

He has a successful psychotherapy practice in the South East of England and has extensive experience of working with clients who present with:
